Another short follow on about day in Singapore.- 6th June

The breakfast plan was carried out.
A bit more of the look, point and choose, and then buy model of shopping..
Now what would you choose from this? All of it is new in my experience.
And would you know what it was? scroll down and see below.  .
The sales person spoke no English whatsoever, but was such a sweetie. She solicited the help of the lady next door kin a shop called "Muslim food". And we all laughed nervously.
So I chose from the middle shelf on the far left (square) and she proceeded to cut it into bits and deep fry it and it turned out o be deep fried tofu.then further over o the right on top shelf second in from left in a crispy batter,  pre cooked, - a type of sausage.
So she said "noodle ?" And I said huriedly yes, and busily she prepared a flat bowl. I sat with the rest of the locals praying I would not look a dope with my chop sticks and ate this .
It was great.  It came to $3.40 and  from somewhere else got coffee for $1.20. and honestly lasted til mid afternoon when. Had coffee and fancy cake at Clark Quay.
That was another new experience in a Western type shop (TCC) setting but the gateau green was made from green tea and red bean. Would have featured here in Paris in a Patisserie. Exquisite. But the coffee and cake in that setting was $17. Very nice and careful service but a tiny $9 slice of gateau was curiosity and lovely lovely air conditioning on a broiling day.

  2. Lacking a bit of information here. Is this adventure on your own? At one stage it seemed Andrew was going as well. Are you meeting up with people later on?
    All sound great so far.
