Planning and Prep.

So the dilemma is what to pack and how much and  to actually get it done. Today I bought a mini hair drier in a shocking pink $19 from the Warehouse. It folds and also is light.
Carol suggests packing cells from Kathmandu - a NZ sports shop. I looked at them today and they certainly make sense.
So the trip starts on Wednesday leaving Wllington at 9.00 am and heading to Singapore for a revisit. Andrew has found his swipe card for the MRT system in Singapore and I  am travelling Singapore Airlines, and a courtesy promo deal to stay at The  Grand Pacific Hotel in Victoria Street.
I arrive 3.00pm one day and fly out at 11.00pm the following. Thatt means plenty of time to do stuff including a bus pass where you can hop on and hop off all day.  This means I can change my mind en route.
I would really like to have a Singapore Sling at Raffles hotel.
The Botannical Gardens are finished now and that would be worth a visit.
Anyway after Singapore I go the Paris where I arrive at 7.00am  on the 7th of the 6th.
Brittany will be there and from there I go to the hotel - Trypp Francois -(sp) right in the Opera area. Paris for 5 days. The last two nights staying at Brittany's apartment in the Bois de Bologne.
Then by the Chunnel to Kent and Ebbsfleet is the terminus . this is near to Pat's house at Sole Street where I will be staying.

Learning to blog at Mana Education Centre

And here I sit with other teachers at the Centre, with others upskilling on Blogging. In their case they are using it for their classrooms.
For me the purpose, is to communicate my travels back home when I spend the next month in Europe and Canada. So here in NZ it is two days away from Winter and people are planning their mid winter Christmas parties . But I shall be in Canada at that time in tremendous heat.
This is  me with two cousins last year during July. There is snow on the Whakararas in the distance. these are peony fields at Shirley's. part of this July I will be in sweltering conditions.
